With Easter right around the corner, we tasked our talented recipe-maker Teri to whip us up a special springtime recipe that even the Easter Bunny would fall in love with. In honour of this chocolate-filled holiday, we’ve teamed up with our favourite chocolatiers, CAMINO, to create a delectable recipe that’s perfect for those on the go.
When chocolate meets muesli you just KNOW it’s going to be a good day. Featuring both HOLOS VANILLA MUESLI and the plant-based, fair-trade, and organic CAMINO CHOCOL-OAT BAR, our Chocolatey Overnight Delight will give everything you need to sustain your energy throughout all of your daily activities, plus it’s fun to make! Just prepare your muesli the night before and combine the ingredients when you’re ready to eat–you can also throw it in the fridge to create a hard, crackable shell of chocolate over the top. This recipe can be eaten for breakfast, as a mid-afternoon snack, or even as a nutritious and delicious dessert.
200 ml milk of choice
2 tbsp strawberry jam
1/2 Camino chocolate-oat bar, chopped and melted
- Pour Vanilla muesli into a jar. Add 200 ml of milk. Place the lid firmly on top and shake vigorously. Place in the fridge overnight.
- When you are ready to eat, chop chocolate and melt in the microwave in 30 second increments until smooth.
- Pour 2 tbsp chocolate into the bottom of a fresh jar. Use a milk frother to create lines of chocolate up the jar.
- Add the prepared muesli.
- Add strawberry jam on top of muesli and finally, top with remaining chocolate. You can eat immediately or place back in the fridge to create a hard chocolate shell, you choose!
NOTES: This recipe is naturally gluten-free and can be made completely plant-based–just use a plant-based milk to prepare your muesli.
